Contacting the City Police Department in your area is the first thing you have to do if you know of someone who was arrested. The police log will contain a brief summary of what the arrest was all about, the time, date and location as well as parties involved and whether it is a bailable offense or not. If the police log is not available or visiting the station is impractical, another option that you can do is to check the Sheriff’s website where an “Inmate search” tool is made available online. Click the “Who is in Custody” and you will be directed to a disclaimer. Read the disclaimer and if you agree, simply click the button to check for Yuba County arrest records.
Aside from the City Police Department and the Sheriff Office, the Superior Court is also one place where you can obtain information from on an arrested individual. If you are a crime victim, then you may also register for the VINE Link system which allows you to obtain information on the offender.
If the records that you are interested in are not available online, you may also approach the Records Unit which can provide you with the crime/incident report. Simply fill in the request for information available from the website, present a valid photo ID and payment of $10.00 for the report. Some information may not be released especially those that are under investigation or not yet adjudicated.
