Alameda County Arrest Records

Another section of the Sheriff’s Office is the Crime Analysis section which is responsible for the collection and analysis of crime reports and reviews them for possible connection with other crimes. The unit section only provides internal services and is not available to the public.

To request for information from the Sheriff’s Office, one can submit an online request by filing the online request form made available from the county’s website. One can also fill out a paper form request and either sends it through mail, fax or email. The Sheriff’s Office will call the requestor when the report is available for pick up or will email or mail the report if requested.

Before a report is released, the Sheriff’s Office has 10 days to determine if the document is considered as public or access is restricted. Suspect’s copy is an edited version of the original whereas the complete version is made available to the latter’s attorney upon request from the court or during the court discovery process. Payments for the record depend on the actual cost of the request.
